Outline


So I've finally scoped out the outline on the project development as best as possible. I will just basically be doing all the researching, prepping, and drilling I can do until development time comes which will be by tomorrow evening. I think the drilling practices may help me get in the habit of putting certain practices, so once dev time starts I would have a good grasp of the project I'll build from scratch. Although there seemingly looks like quite a bit on the list, it will all be very basic looking. IF there's some time in the end I may add more details.

Outline of my planning/development process split into three hours
Dev-Time : Sunday evening (8pm-11pm) (* indicates dev-time item)

[Hour 1]

Create assets (Menu, Game , Game Over)
     > Draw up layout concept & Design
     > Find HDRI/Globe scene for background
     > Font hunting 
     * Use Blender to create basic assets

Build Scenes in Unity

     > Take time to get familiar with Archimatix Pro asset
     > Refresher on building content in Unity
     * Create Main Menu/End scene with Canvas/Better UI

     * Create Game scene with props

               * Walls 
               * Counters
               * Windows
               * Doors
          * Import/Add modeled props 

[Hour 3]

Write interactions
     
> Refresher on writing C# scripts for Unity 
     * Write Menu/End scene UI Interactions
          * Menu scene start button 
          * End scene restart button 
     * Script for learn bar - learn bar grows as time passes (length of music)
          > Need to figure how to monitor music time to provide game progress with clock
     * Script for Teacher basic movement - pace left to right as "giving lessons"
     * Script for game interactions
          * Arrow to look at direction
          * Camera look (desk/board)
          * Item flash when needed attention
          * Clicks add to attentio-meter gauge
     * Script for ending scene when music is over
     * Unknowns(!)

Post-Dev
     > Testing/debugging
     > Rewrites?

Add music
     
> Refresher on adding looping music to scene
     * I wont definitely have time to create music for this so I will be looking for something on opengameart.org or similar
     * Record, clean-up, and teachers rhythmic lesson murmuring song
